My Microfiction Stories "Consciousness" and "The Question" Featured in "The Birdseed"

Last night the second issue of The Birdseed went live, and I'm blessed to have two microfiction stories in this one: CONSCIOUSNESS and THE QUESTION.  I love this literary magazine!! I love it because the editor, Courtney, is just the sweetest soul on the planet. I love it because it's so lovingly and beautifully designed. You'll see when you click on the link. It's very clean and fresh. It almost has a Zen feel to it. And I love it because it's a microfiction magazine with only one rule. No story in it can be more than 150 words. And you know how much I LOVE that kind of writing challenge!! Enjoy these little stories and happy reading... Consciousness / The Question – The Birdseed (the-birdseed.com)

My Micro Fiction Story "Voices" Featured in "Punk Noir Magazine"

What a wonderful surprise!! Instead of my micro fiction story VOICES appearing in the fabulous Punk Noir Magazine next week, the editor, Stephen Gold, decided to surprise me and publish it today. Wow! No wonder I adore him so much. And it's n o wonder Stephen is one of my favorite editors, and Punk Noir Magazine is one of my favorite literary magazines. This story is a little different. It's empowering like all my stories, but rather intense, because it’s about a woman in an abusive relationship suffering from chronic PTSD and how a person has to move through that process toward healing. Enjoy! Voices by Laura Stamps – Punk Noir Magazine

My Flash Fiction Story "Mangoes" Featured in "Downtown Archive"

My flash fiction story MANGOES also appeared today in the beautiful literary magazine Downtown Archives . What fun! I have to admit this is one of my favorite stories. I love all the subtle layers as the story unfolds, as well as its empowering message. Again, the illustration the editor chose for it is perfect!  Enjoy this story. I think you'll see why I like it so much! Mangoes - Downtown Archive (downtown-archive.com)

My New Novella is the SPOTLIGHT Feature Today on the "Cozy With Books" Blog

What a great way to kick off a Saturday! Today my new novella, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA is in the "Spotlight" on the Cozy With Books Blog.  Many thanks to Esther and her fantastic book review blog for this honor. She is such a sweet soul, so generous. Best of all, she loves the cover of this novella as much as I do. I think my ginger kitty, Jeremiah, has a future in modeling. What do you think? lol!  Spotlight: It’s All About The Ride: Cat Mania by Laura Stamps – Cozy with Books (wordpress.com)

My Poem "Sunlight" Featured in the "Amethyst Review"

What a wonderful surprise to see one of my PTSD poems, SUNLIGHT featured in the fabulous literary  magazine, the Amethyst Review!   I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous faith-filled literary journal. It's such a positive read created by an editor who is all heart. It's always a joy to be included in one of these issues! Sunlight – a poem by Laura Stamps – Amethyst Review (amethystmagazine.org)

My Flash Fiction Story "Count Your Blessings?" Featured in "The Daily Drunk"

My flash fiction story COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS? just went live in The Daily Drunk literary magazine!!  Okay, get ready. This one is realllllllly wacko funny. I channeled the main character in my latest novella, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA, for this story. If you've ready my novella, you'll recognize her voice. What can I say? She's a hoot! Enjoy this story! COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS? (dailydrunkmag.com)

Cover Reveal for My New Novella!

Image
Here's the cover for my new novella IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA. Isn't it gorgeous?!!! The publisher and I have worked like crazy the last two weeks on final edits, text layout, and the cover design (which includes blurbs for the back cover). And now it's finished.  Since the novella is about a cat rescue lady, we felt there should be a cat on the cover. I sent him pics of my cats as possible models, and he chose this one of Jeremiah. I absolutely LOVE all the psychedelic colors he used, don't you?  And the back cover is fuchsia. He had no idea that's my favorite color. Amazing!  Enjoy this beautiful cover. Before you know it you'll have the book in hand. It launches in two days...September 4th!
